About the Artist

Karina Kwapil (born 1982 in Vienna) Emotions and their depiction are an ever-present theme in her work. All aspects of being human and coexisting in a society are wrapped in symbolic language and messages in her works. The focus also lies on presentation—the large format, the grand scale, and the oversized, which serve to transport the message in her prints, drawings, and paintings and present them in space. Julian Kadrnoschka (born 1996 in Mödling) His works develop from a feeling or a relationship to individual people and situations close to the artist. Works and series dedicated to a person or a moment, which evolve and are based on a brief thought or a fleeting feeling. Whether sculptural or flat, abstract or figurative, depends on concept and work. Craftsmanship, the ultimate visual expression, and so-called style are vehicles that differ from work to work. Timotej Kosmel (born 1998 in Bratislava) In my artistic practice I use self-made images from my surroundings (social, visual) to later transfer them into a composition of my own desire, re-creating versions of realities. Emma Peinhopf (born 1999 in Salzburg) Her work is characterized by colorful figures and faces as well as the artist’s engagement with ever-new materials and media. Currently, a major focus lies on portraiture. In a face-to-face situation, Emma draws people from her environment and tries to capture the mood and character traits of her counterpart. Paper plays an important role as a medium for collages, works from paper pulp, and drawing itself.
